YANKEES Chapter 150

OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BOOK OF MANIFEST DESTINY

The Yanks have to deal with some stuff
Chapter 150
Kennedy noticed that negroes weren’t completely happy,
Because about a million of them marched to Washington,
aAnd sat right out there in public and everything,
To hear a preacher named bMartin Luther King tell them that he had a dream,
A dream about equality,
Which meant that it was time for negroes to stand up and demand their rights,
Nonviolently,
cBecause it’s better that way,
dAnd besides, it’s never smart to make the Yanks mad by hurting some of them,
Which everyone knew,
By now.
And so Kennedy helped out all he could,
By passing a law in Congress that made negroes equal,
So that they could be called black people,
Instead of negroes,
Because white people were called white people,
Unless they were called Caucasians,
Which they weren’t,
Or else why would it matter what you called black people,
As long as you didn’t call them the usual Yank names,
Such as nigger,
And spade,
And coon,
And tar baby,
And spook,
And spear chucker,
And colored,
And all the other names that Yanks think of first but never use in public anymore because they might sound racist or something,
For some reason.
