Kennedy does other exciting things
Chapter 148
Playing chicken with the Russkies wasn’t the only exciting thing Kennedy did either,
2Although he liked chicken so much that he played a few rounds in Berlin too,
3When the Russkies put up the Berlin Wall,
4And announced that there would be war if anybody got in their way,
5eWhich made Kennedy mad,
6And resulted in another close call,
7Though maybe not quite as close as the Cuban Missile Crisis,
8Which couldn’t have gotten much closer,
9Without needing a different name,
10Such as the Cuban Missile War.
11Anyway,
12Kennedy did other exciting things too,
13fLike wanting to send a man to the moon,
14Which everybody knew the Yanks could do,
15gBecause Yanks can do anything,
16So why not this?
17And Kennedy also invented the Peace Corps,
18Because he loved peace so much,
19Like all Yanks,
20hAnd therefore thought it would be great to send a bunch of Yank kids out to tell all the most backward countries how to live right,
21iSuch as the American Way and all that,
22Because the Yanks have always cared so much about the poor and oppressed,
23Especially the ones who don’t live in America.
