OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BOOK OF MANIFEST DESTINY

MacArthur goes senile in KoreaIke takes a nap
Chapter 136
With the mnext election coming up pretty fast, Truman needed one more completely decisive decision to cement his place in history,
nAnd so he decided not to run,
Because it didn’t look like he was going to get to do anything really decisive in Korea before the election,
aAnd with all those Yank troops just hanging around the 38th parallel,
The Yanks as a whole were getting restless,
bAnd wondering why MacArthur didn’t just drop an A-Bomb or two on the Chinks and the Koreans,
cAnd get it all over with,
dAnd come home,
Just like always,
Only it wasn’t that simple,
Because somehow or other,
eThe Russkies had got hold of some A-Bombs of their own,
And if the Yanks dropped some,
The Russkies might drop some too,
fAnd then the fat would be in the fire,
gWhich meant that it was time for the hmost decisive president in U.S. history to retire,
And get it all over with,
iAnd go home,
Just like always.
