The Marshall Plan turned out to be even more successful than it was original,
2Thanks to mGeorge, of course,
3Not to mention nPresident Truman,
4oWho was honest and great,
5Because Roosevelt had thought enough of him to make him vice president,
6pWhich was good enough for the Yanks,
7And besides, where could you find a president who would be better at showing the whole world how serious the Yanks were about qequality,
8rAnd how nobody was really any better than anyone else,
9Because President Truman was obviously no better than anybody,
10Being completely average in every respect,
11Except much more decisive, of course,
12And honest,
13And great,
14Because Roosevelt wouldn’t have picked him otherwise,
15sWould he?
16Anyway,
17tIt was Truman who was president when the Yanks gave all that money to the Europeans to rebuild their cities and factories and everything,
18uAnd except for the Russkies,
19Everything started to get better in Europe,
20Even though there were a whole bunch of Yank troops who weren’t coming home this time,
21But were staying in Europe,
22Indefinitely,
23Because somebody had to protect the poor defenseless Krauts from the Soviet army,
24Which still hated the Krauts,
25aFor some reason.
