THE BOOK OF DAMN
YANKEES
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BOOK OF MANIFEST DESTINY
Roosevelt reelected for life
Chapter 117
But the Yanks have always been lucky,
2As any European will tell you,
3And they kept on winning the war even though Roosevelt was dead,
4And the new president,
5Who must have been Truman,
6Continued the same policies that had worked so far,
7Until the jKrauts had been thoroughly whipped,
8kIncluding the Battle of the Bulge,
9lWhere a Yank stopped the Kraut counteroffensive by saying “Nuts,”
10Or words to that effect,
11Which stunned the Krauts long enough for mPatton to arrive like the U.S. Cavalry,
12Which he kind of was at that,
13And saved the day,
14nUntil the Krauts finally gave in,
15And offered up the kind of peace terms the Yanks wanted,
16oMeaning Surrender,
17pOf the Unconditional kind.
