Roosevelt reelected again
Chapter 103
It was at about this point that the Yanks had to have another presidential election,
Which happens every four years or so,
gWhether anyone is paying attention or not.
But this time they were paying attention,
Because they had such definite views on foreign policy this time,
And knew they needed someone who looked at it like they did,
Which is to say they needed a president who wasn’t exactly neutral,
But who wasn’t exactly committed to doing anything either,
Which is why hRoosevelt was so perfect,
Even though he had already served two terms,
iWhich is all any president had ever served before.
jExcept that Roosevelt was special,
kFor some reason,
Like with his foreign policy,
And other stuff too,
Which made it okay to reelect him for a third term,
Because when they asked him about it,
lRoosevelt said it would be okay,
mAnd who would know better about that than the president of the United States?
So Roosevelt got reelected,
nAnd went on with his brilliant foreign policy,
Which was as honest and great as it could possibly be,
oConsidering that Roosevelt hadn’t actually been born in a log cabin.
