Chapter 39
Do not give yourself over to great visions of the future,
In general or in particular,
cBecause for the man who does not think, the only time is today,
dAnd there is no past,
eAnd no future,
Because the continuum of time suggests causes and effects,
fAnd consequences,
gAnd these can lead to thought.
Therefore, remember that the only real time is today,
And making it through today,
And not having anyone blame you for anything today,
hBecause when you have to defend yourself against someone else’s blame,
It can lead to thought.
