WAYS
The Way of the Gypsies
Chapter 8
The Hebrew way was truly hard,
Almost too hard to believe.
Their fGod was a judge,
Whose word was the law,
And the law was written in gstone.
They lived in the desert,
And wandered with sheep,
And they could have settled for that.
But instead they looked up,
And tried to be hmore—
More than a beast in the sand.
And maybe you think they were iself-chosen fools,
The butt of life’s longest jjoke,
kBetrayed by their God again and again,
lTill he led them like sheep to the slaughter.
But how many mPhilistines live in your town,
And how many self-chosen sheep?
