THE BOOK OF
ROMANS
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE SECOND BOOK OF GREEKS
The Patricians invent the plebeians
Chapter 4
The Roman democracy had a hsenate,
2Where all the senators wore itogas with purple edges,
3jAnd made great speeches to each other,
4And to the consuls,
5Who were elected to run things.
6There were always two consuls,
7Because the Romans didn’t believe in kings,
8Who had a habit of being untrustworthy,
9Which the Romans didn’t approve of at all,
10Since life gets difficult when you can’t trust the king,
11And life isn’t supposed to be difficult,
12kBut easy.
13And so the Romans elected two consuls,
14So that they could keep an leye on each other,
15And the Patricians wouldn’t have to do it.
