NED Chapter 36

Harry’s Two CommandmentsHarry disappears for forty days
Chapter 36
But then it happened that the very next caller asked Harry about the itenth time,
The time when you didn’t get away with everything,
And what were you supposed to do then?
Whereupon Harry was like lightning in his reply, saying,
Then you will perhaps experience a Setback,
Which doesn’t really matter,
At all,
Because then you can enjoy the almost unequaled pleasure of blaming your Setback on others,
Which you can do repeatedly,
And mercilessly,
Regardless of what really happened,
jUntil everyone is sick of hearing about it,
kAnd gives you what you want,
So that you’ll be quiet,
And stop blaming them,
Which is all they’ll want by then,
aBecause nobody will remember or care about what really happened in the past,
For the past is history,
And about as important as a snowflake.
Besides, if you do a good enough job of bblaming others for your Setback,
You may become a kind of martyr,
And a celebrity,
Which can lead to book contracts and personal appearances,
And a whole new career,
Because when the whole world is following my Way,
cThere won’t be any Setback so awful or humiliating or disgraceful that it can’t be overcome,
And turned into an advantage.
