Chapter 4
When they had done naming one another, the apes were very pleased,
2And proud of what they done,
3Believing it to be pretty special to have so many names,
4vAnd such an easy way of telling one ape from another ape,
5wWhich had never happened before in the living memory of the apes.
6And so it happened that the apes with names decided that they were no longer apes,
7xBut better than apes,
8yAnd worthy of a name unto themselves,
9Which they selected by zlottery, asking every ape to draw one sharpened stick from a huge pile of sharpened sticks,
10aAnd the short stick fell to an ape named bManny,
11cWho promptly renamed the race of apes after himself,
12So that the apes from that dpoint forward were no longer apes, but Men,
13eAnd belonged to the race of Man.
14fWhich immediately invented names for all of its bands, now called tribes,
15gAnd the tribes then withdrew to their homes to begin sharpening sticks for the new age.
