VICE-PRESIDENT WAYNE’S WARNING · TO THE
MALLITES
The time that matters is now
Chapter 8
The fourth early warning sign of thinking is the temptation to look at things from someone else’s point of view,
Even for a moment.
eDon’t do this.
fThe only point of view is yours,
Because you are there,
And you are you.
You have your desires,
gAnd you have a right to what you desire.
Nobody and nothing else matters,
At all.
hRemember that you didn’t ask to be born,
And nobody asked you what kind of a world you wanted to live in,
Which means they don’t have any right to make you see their point of view,
Whoever they are,
Including your parents,
And your relatives,
And your iteachers,
And everyone else.
Of course, they want you to see their point of view,
So that you’ll do what they want,
And make things easier for them.
But why should you,
When it’s so much easier to do what you want,
All the time?
If people think they can make you see their point of view,
They won’t stop trying till they do,
Which means you have to protect yourself,
jBy being sullen,
kAnd rude,
And disrespectful,
At all times,
So that nobody ever gets the idea,
For even a moment,
That they can make you see things the way they see them,
And start thinking about someone besides yourself,
For a change,
lWhich just isn’t smart,
Or necessary.
