And what if you sort of get the idea that maybe you shouldn’t do so many drugs because it’s bad for you?
2This kind of idea can be a real problem,
3Because lots of mpeople will talk to you along these lines.
4They’ll tell you drugs are awful,
5And don’t do them,
6And be happy and productive and drug-free instead,
7Just like them.
8nRight.
9Well, if you still have doubts about this,
10Just ask yourself what it is that drugs might do to you,
11And whether it’s a big deal or not.
12For example, they say that too many drugs can reduce your ability to learn.
13Is this a realistic concern in your case?
14Can your ability to learn really be reduced at this point?
15Obviously, this particular part of the drug issue is not your problem.
16They also say that too many drugs can take away your ambition and your sense of responsibility and your self-respect.
17aNow, really. Isn’t that the whole point?
18You can see why you have to be careful about what people say.
19They don’t really believe it any more than you do,
20But they are older,
21And they still like to bpretend that they care about certain things that don’t really have anything to do with you,
22At all.
23Don’t be misled,
24Even when they drag out the one about drugs maybe killing you,
25Which means you wouldn’t get to be old and miserable and screwed up like them,
26And would be a terrible ctragedy.
27dRight.
28eBesides, the only time is now,
29And whatever happens in the future isn’t real till it gets here,
30Which means it isn’t real at all as long as you don’t think about it at all,
31fAnd what better way to not think about it at all is there than to do a lot of drugs?
