5Where the Krauts were now fighting against the qBrits and rItalians as well as the French.
6sBesides, the Great War had gotten so big that the munitions manufacturers in Germany were also having to supply arms to other Kraut armies and allies in other parts of the world,

8Which was completely unexpected,
9And hurt profits so much that Germany began to experience some serious economic hardships,
10Which helps explain why the war didn’t go quite as well as expected,
11aNot to mention a little battle called Verdun,
12Which practically emptied Germany of wood,
13bBecause all the trees had to be cut down to put up clittle crosses on the graves of Kraut soldiers.
