KENSINGTONIANS Chapter 24

A catastrophe for the Kensingtonians
Chapter 24
This is a catastrophe for the Kensingtonians,
2Because you needed them too,
3And you knew that a lot of them were different,
4And you counted on it,
5eBecause a lot of you had made it out of Kensington over the years,
6And so you knew, deep down, that there were other ways to live,
7And that it was good there were other kinds of people besides Kensingtonians,
8Because there have to be fdoctors,
9And gengineers,
10And hexecutives,
11And the occasional igreat statesman,
12Not to mention a whole bunch of people who really want to be responsible and go to work every day and not cause trouble on every street comer,
13And a whole bunch of other things like that,
14Because when you drove your jpickup truck over the Ben Franklin Bridge,
15You really did kind of appreciate the fact that the man in charge of building it probably wasn’t a Kensingtonian,
16Didn’t you?
