Harry’s extracurricular activitiesHarry becomes “persona non grata”
Chapter 6
The parents of Harry made a home movie of his graduation from high school,
Which shows him getting his diploma from the rprincipal,
Who looks unhappy for some reason,
sAlthough Harry is grinning,
Probably because he is so proud of graduating from high school,
Which he must be,
tOr why would he grin like that?
The movie also shows the graduation party at Harry’s house,
Which looks like an average sort of house in the usuburbs,
vJust like Beaver Cleaver lived in,
wWith a five-year-old station wagon in the driveway,
Parked right next to a brand new xPontiac GTO,
yWhich must be Harry’s graduation present,
Because you can see Harry’s parents giving him the keys,
And smiling like crazy,
Even though zHarry’s dad doesn’t quite succeed in getting the beer out of his son’s hand,
And even though aaHarry’s mom doesn’t quite succeed in getting a kiss,
aBecause Harry is busy kissing a girl instead,
Until they both jump in the car and drive away into the sunset,
Without a backward glance,
Which is the end of the movie,
And all we know about Harry’s graduation.
