More Trojan War jokes
Chapter 17
There was a Greek named Achilles, who was a cdemi-God,
And almost immortal,
Because his mother had dipped him in a magic pond,
Which made him completely invulnerable to injury,
dExcept for the one place his mother had held on to while dipping him in the water,
Namely his heel,
Which will figure in the punch line later.
Anyway,
eAchilles was a great warrior and went to the Trojan War,
fAfter taking time out for some initial business with a dress,
gAnd promptly fell in love with a girl,
Who got borrowed by Agamemnon, since Agamemnon was so far away from hhis loving wife Clytemnestra,
And this made Achilles so mad that he sat in his tent,
Not fighting,
While the Trojans ran up a big score against the Greeks,
Especially a Trojan named iHector,
Who was pretty tough,
And didn’t know much about Achilles.
And for this reason tactlessly killed Achilles’ best friend, jPatroclus,
Who had dressed up in Achilles’ armor as a joke.
Then kHector tried a ljoke of his own,
mRefusing to give the body of Patroclus back to the Greeks,
nWhich Achilles didn’t think was funny,
So he got some new armor from Hephaestus,
oProving that Greeks with foot problems stick together,
And proceeded to scare Hector pretty badly,
Which made Hector run away,
Only he ran in circles,
Three times around the walls of Troy,
Until Achilles caught him,
And plaughing quite loudly at his own joke,
Killed Hector to death and then dragged him three times around the walls of Troy, thus finishing the joke in grand style.
But then, of course, the joke was on Achilles,
Who got shot in the heel by a poisoned arrow,
Which made qParis titter quite a lot,
rBecause it was his arrow.
Nor was this the last of the jokes in the Trojan War.
