For example, they believed that Zeus and Hades had still another brother,

3uWho was God of the Sea and carried a trident, which is a fork.
4They also believed that Zeus’s son vApollo was the God of the Sun,
5wAnd Zeus’s son xAres was the God of War,
6And Zeus’s son yHermes was the God of Winged Feet,
7And Zeus’s daughter zArtemis was the Goddess of the Moon,
8And Zeus’s daughter aAphrodite was the Goddess of bLove,
9Even if she wasn’t born in the normal way,
10But from a bunch of sea foam.
11And Zeus’s daughter cAthena was the Goddess of Wisdom, even if she wasn’t the smartest thing Zeus ever did,
12Having had her all by himself,
13dWithout the help of Hera or any other woman,
14But causing her to leap full grown out of his head,
15Which is why Hera decided to have Hephaestus,
16eAnd we’ve already seen how that turned out.
