THE BOOK OF
GIANTS
Leonardo discovers anatomy
Chapter 9
For example, there was a Giant named cLeonardo da Vinci who thought up dozens of brilliant scientific ideas,
2Like dtanks, which nobody knew what they were for,
3And eairplanes, which nobody knew how to build,
4And a lot of other great things too,
5fLike anatomy.
6It was gLeonardo da Vinci who discovered that the bodies of apes had bones and muscles and so forth,
7Which would make pictures of naked ladies a lot more realistic and convincing if you painted them that way,
8And which was a tremendous breakthrough,
9Since before Leonardo everybody thought that bodies were made of hsomething else,
10Or something like that.
11Anyway, Leonardo was so brilliant that he was also a Giant in art,
12Painting the iMona Lisa and the jLast Supper,
13Even though they all had clothes on,
14And were therefore the most unusual works of art produced during the Renaissance.
