THE BOOK OF
GIANTS
Galileo gets into troubleLeonardo discovers anatomy
Chapter 8
For instance, Copernicus’s idea wound up making a Giant out of an ape named rKepler,
2Who thought sPythagoras was right when he made up the idea that the universe was made up of a bunch of shapes,
3Called polygons,
4That fit inside each other,
5For some reason.
6This obviously brilliant idea caused aKepler to spend his whole life making polygons out of wood and trying to reconstruct the universe,
7Until he suddenly discovered that the earth revolves around the sun,
8Though not in circles, the way Copernicus thought,
9But in ovals,
10Called elliptical orbits,
11bWhich made Kepler extremely depressed,
12For some reason,
13But was the right answer,
14For some reason.
15And physics wasn’t the only science in which the Giants made brilliant discoveries.
