THE BOOK OF
FROGS
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BOOK OF GLORY
Pasteur invents microorganisms
Chapter 24
After all, where would the world be if the hFrogs had not invented food,
2Which consisted of beautiful, perfectly prepared combinations of rotten meat and rotten poultry,
3And rotten vegetables,
4And rotten fruit,
5And rotten dairy products,
6Topped off by marvelous little sauces that disguised the taste so well you’d hardly know you were eating something even pigs would have the good sense to avoid.
7This food, which the Frogs called high cuisine, was always served in beautiful restaurants,
8Where the waiters made every meal a delight,
9By sneering and raising their eyebrows and disappearing for hours at a time,
10iAnd then cursing the meagerness of the tip.
