ULTRA-HARRIER MORT’S MARCHING ORDERS · FOR THE
FORGERS
There are people called generalsThey sort of think they kind of believe…
Chapter 9
And so they blame you because you remind them of the nbiggest thing they don’t want to think about,
2And they’re pretty sure that if you were all smart enough to refuse to sign up,
3And refuse to wear those uniforms,
4And refuse to carry those guns,
5And refuse to carry those flags,
6And stopped feeling any sense of obligation to your country,
7aJust like they’ve already learned to do,
8Then maybe it would be contagious,
9bAnd everybody in the whole world would suddenly get the hang of peace,
10cAnd they’d start solving their problems by talking about them,
11And signing agreements,
12And… you’re right:
13They don’t really believe that,
14At all,
15But they sort of think they kind of believe that,
16Which is close enough,
17If you’re a Harrier,
18And ample reason to blame you for every shot fired in anger since the invention of dgunpowder.
