5To explain that it’s all happened before,
6And will probably get worse,
7hBecause everyone is lying,
8Except the TV journalists,
9iWho are wise enough to see through it all,
10And put it all on tape,
11In living color,
12And read the whole story into the camera,
13Like a friendly, sharp-fanged uncle,
14Night after night after night,
15Because the awful truth can never hide from the power of TV,
16jAs long as they can have their twenty-two minutes a night.
