Chapter 51
When the Germans decided that Austria was really part of Germany,
And always had been,
Churchill got upset,
zBut the Brits remained above it all,
Except that the Brit prime minister,
Called aaNeville Chamberlain,
bbAsked the Germans to be nice from now on,
Which they said they would do,
But actually they were lying,
ccIn a big way.
Then, when the Germans decided that Czechoslovakia was also part of Germany,
And always had been,
Churchill got upset,
ddBut the Brits decided once again to remain above it all,
eeExcept that Neville Chamberlain asked the Germans to do better from now on,
Which they said they would do,
Although they were actually lying again,
aIn a big way.
When the Germans decided that the next country which really had always belonged to them was Poland,
And the Poles objected,
Churchill got upset,
And so did Neville Chamberlain,
bWhich didn’t help Poland,
But convinced the Brits that maybe being above it all didn’t work on Germans.
cAnd so they asked Winston Churchill to help them remember how to do things the hard way,
For a while.
