THE BOOK OF BLOODY
BRITS
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE BOOK OF THE WHITE MAN’S BURDEN
The hard way vs. the big way
Chapter 48
Of course, while it was obvious to the Brits that they were way ahead on points in the irace to be the Chosen Nation,
2And had been for quite some time,
3jThe way they read the rules, anyway,
4There were still other nations who thought the Brits had just been lucky,
5For quite some time,
6kAnd might be getting tired of being raised, educated, and killed in the hardest possible way,
7For centuries.
8lIn particular, the Germans thought they had discovered a new way of being the Chosen Nation,
9mWhich was to do everything the big way.
10nFor example, the Germans got the idea that if there could be a really big war,
11oInvolving everybody,
12pAnd the Germans won it big,
13qThey would automatically become the Chosen Nation.
14For this reason, the German ruler,
15Called rKaiser Wilhelm,
16sGot some German munitions manufacturers to help him start World War I,
17tWhich almost backfired when the French tried to start it first,
18uBut soon settled down to become a really big war,
19With lots of really big armies involved,
20Shooting off lots of really big guns,
21Resulting in lots of really big casualties,
22vAnd then lots of really big cemeteries,
23All over the world.
