And while we’re on the subject, it’s also worth taking a second look at all those things Christ said about kmoneychangers, and charity, and how lrich men can’t ride a camel through the eye of a needle, and mrender unto Caesar, and so forth,
2nBecause it can’t be news to any of you that Jews have always been pretty active in the moneychanging business,
3oNot to mention how tight they are with a buck,
4Which probably irritated Caesar as much as it’s always irritated everyone else,
5pBecause money’s great,
6And obviously everybody wants to have a lot of it,
7Which is only human,
8qAs every Christian church in the whole history of Christendom has always understood,
9But can’t we talk about something else now and then?
10rAs for the camel thing, that’s too weird to understand anyway,
11And just shows you how things have changed since Christ was here last,
12Like a lot of other things Christ talked about,
13Such as heaven.
