ADAM Chapter 2

Adam has some big ideas
Chapter 2
The way cAdam looked at it,
There was something called dcapital that could be very very useful,
Meaning that if you had some capital,
Like, say, a great big pile of emoney,
You could use it to make things that people wanted or needed,
Like, say, fclothes,
Out of other things that people didn’t want or need quite as much,
Like, say, graw cotton fibers,
Which meant that the new things would be more valuable than the things they were made out of,
Even when you added in the cost of making the new things out of the other things.
The more Adam thought about it, the more it seemed like he might be onto something,
Because the difference between the value of the new thing and the cost of making it,
Including the cost of buying the things the new thing was made out of,
Was something that didn’t exist before,
Which meant that it was brand-new value,
And should have a hname of its own,
Which Adam gave it,
And didn’t even name it after himself,
But called it “wealth” instead.
