The more they think about the living conditions of factory workers,
2The more the gthinkers will think that it must mean something,
3hBecause everything has to mean something,
4iEspecially if you’re living in an age of reason and science and high technology,
5Which must be where “survival of the fittest” comes in,
6Because there will be a newfangled scientific idea called jevolution that will make it seem like life is just one incredibly long race,
7Which is always won by the swiftest,
8kMeaning the first to grab hold of all the money,
9Who are therefore the fittest,
10As opposed to factory workers and their country cousins,
11lWho aren’t very swift at all,
12In any respect,
13mAnd therefore have to take what they get,
14As long as they last,
15nWhile the swift ones get to drink brandy and smoke fine cigars and have silk waistcoats and huge mansions and beautiful women,
16oNot to mention more capital than you can shake a pointed stick at.
